Man escapes flat fire in Wembley

London Fire Brigade reported that Twenty one firefighters and officers tackled a fire on Ealing Road, Wembley.

One man left the flat before the arrival of the Brigade and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service. Most of the flat was damaged in the blaze.

Crew Manager Andy Cuthbert who was at the scene said: “When we arrived the fire was already well developed and had blown the windows and doors out. Crews wearing breathing apparatus got the fire under control very quickly but this just goes to show how fast fires can spread. If there is a fire in your home, get out and call 999 as soon as possible.”
